The first edition of the NL Packaging Awards has entries from famous brands like Heineken, Unilever, Emmi Fondü, Look-o-Look, TomTom, Balmoral Cigars, Friesland Campina, SmurfitKappa and retailers Spar and Albert Heijn.
The shortlist for the brand new NL Packaging Awards 2016 has been announced. The winners and runner up entries will be announced on the night of the Awards ceremony on March 17, to add a real sense of occasion and keep everyone guessing right up until the names are called.
The 164 entries for the NL Packaging Awards, an initiative of ManagementMedia, publisher of Hollands long time leading magazines Verpakken and VerpakkingsManagement, showcase the creativity and innovation power of the Dutch packaging sector.
A total of 13 Awards will be given in 11 categories. One Award per category, except for the Innovation category, which holds an Award for machinery and an Award for packaging. In addition, the trade press has nominated 4 entries for the Eye Catcher Award.
The judges, 32 in total, are professionals from the industry: packaging designers, marketing managers from the food and nonfood industry, packaging engineers and consultants. After the jury-session 4 or 5 finalists per category were announced. On march 17, the winner and runner up for each category will be announced during a high profile Award ceremony, with drinks, gourmet dinner, entertainment and after party in RTL Studio 21, Hilversum, The Netherlands.
NL Packaging Awards is Hollands first multi-category packaging competition and is due to be held each year. Entries must have been designed or been produced in The Netherlands.
